All laminating pouches are not the same. Oregon Lamination laminating pouches are manufactured to achieve high clarity with the least defects and clear glossy finish protecting and enhancing colors. Our fresh adhesive may melt faster than others, providing potential faster running times or lower temperatures used and come with a money back performance guarantee. Heat activated adhesive becomes clear when heat and even pressure is applied. Compatible with all thermal pouch laminators capable of sealing 7 mil 11-1/4 x 17-1/4 inch laminate (metric 286mm x 438mm x 175 micron x 2 flaps adds 350 microns thickness to your card). ALERT: Many pouch laminators on the market can seal up to only 5 mil pouches, so PLEASE make sure your laminator is capable of sealing 7 mil pouches prior to ordering. (If you don’t have your machine’s manual, a good reference is if your laminator has either a speed control OR a temperature control, it will likely seal 7 mil pouches). This is the 2nd thickest standard lamination pouch material available on the market. Note: Industry standard specification for 7 mil laminating pouches is 7 mil on each flap for a total of 14 mil added to your paper sheet card. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches; however, are sealed on only one edge instead of three (more like a file folder than a pouch, but with a 3/32” flat folded spine). If the results are cloudy, you can always run the sheet again at a higher temperature or slower speed, but you cannot fix heat blisters caused by running too hot or too slow. If planning on trimming or punching laminated sheets, wait 24 to 72 hours for maximum adhesive curing time with a professional edge.
